What is your worst experience with buying/owning a car?

STORY TIME:

I buy a Honda. Brand new, first new car I have ever bought. At 51,000 miles the car starts losing power at times, usually in lower gear. Keep in mind, I know NOTHING about cars. But I do know something is wrong.

Bring it to dealer. They think it's an engine issue, but your warranty for that is up and to check it out we need to take apart the engine and that will be $1500 (or something like that) to just do that. If it's normal wear and tear we have to charge you for that and all repairs.

Keep in mind that I got a new car to not have issues and I was still paying a significant car payment on this car. I was also in a new job that I could not call out or be late on and did not have time for this shit.

I am a calm person, but I lost it. I have had nothing but old beat up crap cars with mileage well over 100,000 and my new car had engine problem. And it was possibly "wear and tear".

I drive like a grandma and was curious what kind of car this really was if basic wear and tear damaged an engine after 50k.

Thus began a couple week long fight with the dealership, with Honda itself to get them to pay for the damn repairs. Thankfully my parents were kind enough to lend me there car and they just stayed home during the day (they are retired).

Finally, they did agree to fix it but damn if they did not make it seem like it was a favor.

They opened it up, yep, piston damage, looked like wear and tear, according to them. So it would have been a huge bill for me if I didn't call and bitch every day for two weeks until I got results.

Fast forward to last year. I get a notice in the mail from Honda who was extending warranties on my year and model for piston issues with the engine.
