What is your worst middle school/high school “mean girl” experience?

This stands out as the memory maker from a school system that wrongly placed me in the special education class (I'd just moved from deep south to the high north and spoke with a slow drawl), placed me in in-school suspension for missing 10 days of class in one semester for my grandma's funeral crosscountry, and who had a school counselor who told me I'd never make it in college:

The last day of 7th grade the teachers dgaf so had everyone watch a movie for class time, lined all the kids up in charis in rows like a pseudo movie theatre, and put something g-rated on. I wasn't talking to anyone, just watching the movie, when I realized 2 girls behind me were whispering about me and throwing stuff at me. Turns out it was gum.

Multiple gums.

In my hair.

With absolutely no warning, these girls had been throwing gum in my waist-length hair. I had to cut all of it off that summer, which was devastating for me at that age. I still have no idea why they thought that was a smooth move. No repercussions, of course.
