What Zelda theory is very interesting, but not many people have heard of?

Lol in what way ?!? That would mean he is several hundred years old.

The simplest explanation: magic.

Motivation is to find Majora/special masks.

Yes, I agree. I meant no external motivation.

Except that wouldn't fit in the known information we have available at all.

And what information do we have available that shows this to be the case?

Listen dude, I know you have this big throbbing erection for infinite timelines and shit, but sadly for you, as long as the author of the work says : 3 timelines and no more, than there are three timelines and no more.

I look for the simplest explanation. There is no sense in a 3 timeline split that exists in the same universe because it is logically impossible to have someone both alive and dead within the universal existence. Not to mention all the other oddities that exist between all the games that discredit the proposed "timeline".

Also, that actually isn't entirely the case. As we all know Aonuma is not the original author of Zelda which makes his credibility to speak on the matter of how the entire series get placed together questionable at best.

He even said himself in the disclaimer for the Historia:

"The timeline arranges the series in chronological order so it's easier to understand, but from the very beginning, Zelda games have been developed with the top priority of focusing on the game mechanics rather than the story...

Thinking of that way of developing the games, it may be correct to say that the story is an appendix to that. I even think that setting Skyward Sword as the "first story," was merely a coincidence.

While reading over "The Full History of Hyrule," it's possible that some parts may look contradictory. I'd like to ask everyone just to enjoy the book and to be broad-minded, and to think that those parts are the way they are because of the way Zelda games are developed."

In other words, it is only as much of a timeline because that's what they've thrown together and casually arranged after the fact.

To claim that it is the holy grail of all Zelda facts as it relates to explaining occurrences, timelines, and what is canon when your creator says otherwise is, without a doubt, ironic and potentially ludicrous.
