What's an unpopular opinion about Perth that will put you in this position?

The only thing the borders did was delay the inevitable in my opinion, we will now be where the eastern states was 3 months ago, and in terms of lifting restrictions we are probably a year behind them. I don’t know why we kept the borders shut so tightly when it was always going to come and mess us up, especially since it seems not much prep was made to health care in that time.

I also don’t understand why if deaths in aged care and hospitals are that bad that they didn’t implement these vaccine mandates for the flu in 2017 when over 1000 people died from it in a single year.

To be clear I’m not against borders and quarantine, but to turn people are away and not even let them come and quarantine and once negative to see their family for so long was just so heartless and seemed like an abuse of control because they couldn’t manage a solid system
