I was undiagnosed with depression in Allston and walked into a popular bagel shop. I sat down with my sandwich and someone accosted me for taking their seat. I genuinely don't know if she was lying or I had "stolen" her seat but I was shocked by how angry she was and the absolute glare in her eyes. I just capitulated and said sorry. I think I'm imagining this part but I vaguely remember her just sort of doing this sneering little head nod.

I must have looked pretty shaken up or that woman was louder than I thought because this other woman at another table and presumably her boyfriend asked if would like to sit with them instead. I was so humiliated that I politely declined and left. I'm really glad five years later they had the decency to offer.
