• Get out a bowl and box/bag of cereal, pour cereal into bowl. -Then, flatten the cereal with your hand and keep your hand on the cereal lightly. Insert the spoon into the bottom with your hand. -Pour milk into bowl where your hand makes an L so that you don't pour milk on your hand. Keep your hand on the cereal until desired level of milk.
• Remove hand and stir/turn over top layer of cereal so the whole mix is covered in milk.

The hand here is critical. It makes the cereal not rise with the milk so stirring is easier, and so the cereal has a nice look at the end. Stirring will make the cereal take on a glossy look and gets rid of completely dry crunch.
