What's the best place to live with regard to cars?

Not only that, lol.

The northeast in general is trash for drivers because:

  1. The weather...In the winter it snows; when it gets warm in the daytime the snow melts and the water goes into the pavement; when it then gets cold at night the same water in the pavement now freezes, causes bubbles in the pavement...then it snows again and plows come and shatter the bubbles, causing potholes.

That's the reason why all our roads are always shit and torn up constantly. Winters suck for roads.

  2. Oldest settled part of the country...most roads in the northeast in NY/New England where made for horse and buggy, and have been only slightly expanded to fit cars. You'll find many 2 lane highways and routes that are really only big enough for one lane (I.E the hutch/merrit)...suck for driving, and you don't typically see that shit in the south/west coast.

  3. Back to the snow, and wet leaves in the autumn...it's really hard to not have a car thats AWD...so unless you can afford multiple cars, getting small sporty RWD cars you're not going to have a really great time when there is a blizzard....so it just limits your options.

Just sucks in general around here.
