What's better in terms of reliability and value for your money: Toyota or Gmc?

Generally, Toyota will have a longer lasting power train and GMC will have a longer lasting interior/electronics (and less sensor issues). I’ve owned both, and it seems fairly consistent with other buyers as well.

GMC maintenance will be cheaper for when something does finally go. Toyota puts more QC into their SUV’s and Truck’s than they do their cars. This is my experience from a Prius, Tundra, Yukon, and Canyon. My Tundra had a stupid California emissions sensor go bad, and it would cost $1800 to replace. I can clear the code with a $35 OBD reader so that my truck could drive over 25mph again. Just dealt with the headache on it until I got my Canyon.
