What's a dark secret/questionable practice in your profession which we regular folks would know nothing about?

So I am a paramedic. Granted, I’m still relatively new, and have only been doing this for around a decade.

As per our infection control policies, I do wipe down the unit after every call, as do most of my colleagues. I do this for several reasons, with the number one reason that I take pride in my work.

You seem to be very new to the EMS field, and I wish you luck in your upcoming career. Just remember to take pride in how you serve the community, and don’t be lazy when it comes to the little things. Because when you didn’t wipe down the unit after transporting poor Betha at 0400, you may transmitted her MRSA or other bugs to your next patient, and that could kill them.
