Whats the deal with Jimin, how popular is he really?

I thought I was the only one to notice this. When I first got into BTS, JK, Jin and V were the most talked about especially in terms of their looks.

However over the years people have started to recognise Jimins dancing as well as his looks (dyed hair/contacts which stand out alot on red carpets especially at American award shows) and started to hype him up more. Same with RM. I think after the LY:Tear era, fans were quite sympathetic to the less popular members and wanted the members to feel more loved, I guess. I know he had self confidence issue and body image issues so fans have hyped him up to make him feel like he is good looking (which isn't a bad thing).

I've seen this happen in other fandoms too tbh, the underrated members gets so hyped up because fans don't want them to feel left out but then they don't remember how that member got so popular.

To be fair, I'm surprised he didn't catch my attention in the earlier days as he is an ethereal dancer and can try carry a stage.
