What's the deal with that Peak of the market vegetables guy?

Peak of the Market is not a company. It is a marketing board, similar to the Wheat Board, except for potatoes and root vegetables. They have a government mandated monopoly in Manitoba. All potatoes sold in Manitoba must be sold through them. Except at small scale farmers markets. It is extremely odd that the marketing of Manitoba's potatoes are linked to the CEO. Macintosh. His twitter account is funny. 165,000 followers but his tweets are never shared or liked by anyone. If you are going to buy fake followers, at least do a reasonable number. 165k is three times more than Mark Scheifele, 1/3 more than the free press and double the cbc. He tweets a recipe every day.

When I was browsing around noticed this Peak of the market is supposedly a "non profit" company. Well how much does the goofball spend on advertising? A hell of a lot. Totally mismanaged. Meanwhile a place would probably either have only those potatoes or some other brand. You don't need advertising when there's no choice of which you can buy.
