My ex and I were together for 2 years. High school sweethearts, have a child together. She got into drugs and some other stuff, kind of went on and off for the last year of the relationship due to it, and eventually she moved out of state to where my parents lived. Moved in with my parents friends while she started rehab. We had been engaged a week after we started dating, because high school. But we did love each other, or at least I loved her.

Anyways, plan is for me to move out there with our son in a couple of months and now that she'll be sober and we'll both be in better places, we'll live happily ever after. Ended up finding out that whenever she went to visit her sponsor, it was really some other dude from rehab. One of my parents friends knew about it and neglected to say anything. I found out through MySpace. She ended up marrying the dude, and cheated on him with me once (which I did out of spite, like haha you cheated on me while we were engaged and now I got you to cheat on your husband). They lasted 6 months. Might not have even been the worst thing she put me through.

Years later so I'm not nearly as petty, but half of me feels sad for the way her life turned out and the other half hates the almost nonexistent mother she is to our child from halfway across the country.
