What's a film that everyone born after 2000 should watch?

Yes I do, No I am not.

Forest Gump is just a 60's circle jerk with no actual content. It's like they got together and made 15 scenes that fit well with historical events or songs then put a simple man into each scene just randomly.

"How do we make all this random bullshit fit together Bob?"

"Umm, Just put the retard on a bench and make him tell stories Ted"

"BRILLIANT!, We don't even have to write the segues, we need absolutely no continuity, and in the end it doesn't even matter!"

Its' not funny, not thought provoking, not sad, not happy, it's really just lazy.

Sure they had a great cast, good acting, a good soundtrack, and a huge budget. But what are we left with? NOTHING!

It is NOT a snapshot of the 60's, it is not an ode to the 60's, it's not meaningful or noteworthy, it's just lazy nonsense.

Forest Gump is nothing more than fucking Member Berries for baby boomers in the 90's. And the only reason anyone here likes it is because their parents bought it on VHS in 1996 and watched it 10 times.

And the message is horrible as well. Take the guy who simply follows orders and is literally an idiot, he is a superstar in college, a war hero, a millionaire. Take the girl who loves life and challenges the status quo, she gets fucking AIDS and dies.

And the dialog is just shit. Go ahead, think of your favorite quotes form Forest Gump. "Life is like a box of chocolates?" "Run Forest Run?", "Is he like me?", "Stupid is as stupid does?"

This is absolutely lazy writing, it's boring, and it's just not that good.

Shit, R.L. Stine's The Haunting Hour has better writing than Forest Gump.
