What's a good source for on-video football news? Because these guys at ESPN suck.

They never get into any detail because they actually can't. I felt embarrassed for them because of how unprepared they were and how little they seem to know in general.

All they do is make sweeping statements on the spot that sound like they're plucked straight from a particularly bad talksport article's byword.

There's never any attempt to actually analyse, provide examples or back up what they say in any reasonable way.

If you want to tell me the Premier League is lower quality this year, that's fine. You can't just say it and leave it though, because it's not an easy point to defend. Tell me how you think English clubs are being played in the transfer market at the moment, so can't get the quality they need to compete again. Tell me how the promoted teams are lower quality than previous years. Point to some scrappy goals, some particularly low quality defending, the number of goals scored /conceded. Talk about the quality of managers and players (gonna be difficult to say they're bad though).

Don't just stumble over a dodgy soundbite that you scribbled on the back of a napkin and expect me to believe it.
