What's the hardest you've ever noped out of an interview?

Was the fourth fucking interview (two hour commute to a different city each way), fucking dinner with the CEO (new dept I would have headed), and everything is all good and I've basically agreed to take the job and he called the HR person to draw up the employee agreement and the salary we agreed to. Like this was my new job.

And then he casually drops, "Of course, you'll be expected to shave your beard and never have your tattoos exposed. You own suits, right?"

So I left and stopped answering their calls.

For context: I work in Vancouver, BC. A very laid back tech city. I have very valuable skills (linux/cloud engineering, also very low level programming skills - C/C++/FORTRAN - from physics grad school) and I know it. First interview I walked in wearing my jeans and a t shirt. Nice and fitting well, so my full sleeve tattoos were not a surprise at all.
