Um, many many EDS patients also are diagnosed with fibromyalgia, especially as we age. Fibro is simply not a stand alone disease, nor is it primarily a mental health issue.

The reality is, pre-judgment is just that. I can guarantee that if you saw me today you would never guess that I was an ICU nurse for 2 decades. You wouldn't know the 60 years of life experiences I have had. You wouldn't know how high energy, motivated to excel, and exercise I actually was before the fibromyalgia dx. You would just see a slow, clumsy, slightly overweight person who doesn't sleep.
