What's the meaning behind your derby name and number?

My original derby name as an NSO, was 'Jawn' as I am from Philly and it's a slang term very unique to that city. But it got annoying pretty fast because everybody I met just assumed I was telling them my name was 'John' but with a Philly accent.

But I dealt with it for over a year. And everybody was amazed to find my name was not even remotely close to that.

When I transitioned into announcing for my league, myself and the other announcers felt 'Jawn' didn't sound strong enough over the mic. So I changed to Freddie, Set, Go! which is a pun on my actual name, and sounded much better over the air. Not to mention, it is kinda adorable if I do say so myself.

At the moment my derby number is 529 (which is my little sister's birthday) but I may change it to 215 or 267, which are both Philadelphia area codes but who knows?
