What's a mistake that you made once that you'll never make again?

Caring is easy, when compared to repair. "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, as they say. Brush 2-3x a day and floss every night. Don't go to bed with any food particles/residues in your mouth. That routine by itself cut my cavity rate by at least half, and paired with the elimination of sugary drinks, my cavity rate is almost zero... and I always had cavities growing up. Oh and do your two cleanings a year.

If you grind, you need a nightguard. The ones at the drug stroe are garbage (I use them when my custom ones break). American dentists will charge around $400 for one, Mexican dentists will charge around $100, or you can order online. I use https://www.proteethguard.com/ and have had nothing but perfect experiences with them. $160, they last 2-3 years if you take care of the thing.

Beware of bad messaging as well. Growing up, I heard a lot of "oh we just have bad genetics for teeth." Nope, no such thing. We had bad dental habits passed on from generation to generation.
