Not OP but I did it several years ago. Strong grades got lots of scholarships the first year, small ones like chamber of commerce and stuff. My first year I was on athletic scholarship. Then I moved home and waitresses at a local diner 4-5 nights a week. Living back at home and going to a local college was key. I just had to cover tuition and books and all and my cell and car, basic spending money. I couldn’t have also covered bills and rent, so thanks Mom and Dad!
Second year was partial academic scholarship, lost that. Then paid the next few years by working and received help from my grandparents and parents, small help like my mom would pitch in a few hundred, we aren’t wealthy. I realize I’m lucky and these options aren’t available to everyone. I graduated with zero debt.
