What's the most amount of stress you've been under so far in your life?

I studied for a couple years to be a veterinary nurse. After 400+ pages of case studies and two written exams you are required to pass a practical exam which is basically you play acting any 8 of a possible ~15 scenarios in front of already qualified nurses.

You are allowed to fail THREE without failing the test entirely. If you do not perform your task nearly flawlessly you are given a fail.

Each test has ~10-15 steps and failing to perform them in that order in a real life situation will end in the likely death or pain of an animal so it's a big deal.

Failing the test on your first try is normal, and you are allowed to take it a total of three times if you fail. It's such a stressful test that people come out of the rooms shaking and crying if they know they failed. You study for months for it and the practice I worked at used to have pop quiz practice-practicals for the trainees there.

On the day of my test I was so stressed that I: Held my thumb to a hot iron by accident and didn't notice until it was a 2nd degree burn at which point my brain was like "FIRE BAD!" but I just wrapped that up and went to my test anyway (smart). On the drive (3hrs) to the testing facility I was booked at, I stopped to get lunch and walked into a restaurant with no shoes on. I did not notice until the walk back out of the restaurant when I thought "Man! These pebbles sure hurt my BARE FEET!"

I completed my test with one good thumb and a few cuts on my feet, but I passed on the first try. I remember sitting in my car when the test was over, just sitting sideways in the seat with my head hanging out of the car because I was so relieved I thought I might puke.
