My brother is like that. Hes never been diagnosed with ASD but he has a lot of the character traits. Its lead to him having pretty poor results with people of the opposite sex. He overthinks things and becomes overbearing. As an outsider looking at that behavior, its pretty unattractive. If someone doesnt respond within a reasonable time frame through text, or if he sees someone hes been talking to online has “been online” since they last spoke and he questions if theyre talking to other people and stuff.

Hopefully it manifests more subtlety with you. Just the fact that you brought it up yourself is a good step in fixing it. I feel the same about my issues. At least im actively trying to be better.
