Erotic sci-fi author here, so I'll chime in.

A big goal of my current book series is to have a fusion of erotic sex, sci-fi, romance and comedy, as well as "Love, True Love..." Striking the balance is a challenge but worth it I think.

The first and second books have some erotic sex and kink, both explicit and implied, and it increases through the series outline. To wit:

Betty From Betelgeuse, the most famous and wealthy prostitute/pornstar/actress/talk-show-host/shoe-entrepreneur in all of Galaxy G thinks nothing of flying her luxury air car through the sky with its top down and her own top down. And she insists all female passengers must remove their panties before the ride comes to a complete stop -- though she's not lesbian. Well, not officially.

A space pirate discovers he's attractive to women seemingly all across the Galactic Empire, and so semi-accidentally becomes a gigolo and rake in order to raise money for his secret Rebellion.

A quirky but genius AI likes nothing more than to watch lady passengers on his ship, when he's not busy making sexual innuendo or plotting hyper-metric course calculations needed to guide their ship safely through chaotic asteroid belts while on the run from an Imperial fleet.

Birth control and safe sex are a Solved Problem and technology is so advanced there's plenty of time for everyone to have as much sex as they want.

Cross-dimensional travel and vodka -- in both incredibly good and bad combinations. And if you believe that what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas just imagine what can happen when a bored young Earth woman leaves her planet for the first time.

Yes I'm biased. But a major point of the series is to do erotic sci-fi, and do it well. Emphasis on do it. Though it is hard. Emphasis on hard.
