What's the most fireable thing someone has done but they kept the job?

I can't speak for the "Fells Wargo" because I absolutely don't currently work for them and if I did I absolutely don't work in their credit card department.

Please. Please. Please. If you ever get told that you get a credit card "bundled in" with the loan/checking account/whatever you're applying for... DEMAND TO SPEAK WITH THAT BANKER'S MANAGER.

You DO NOT get a credit card automatically because you get some other account. A credit card is always a separate entity! It goes through it's own credit checks and application process. These CAN damage your credit score.

Demand to speak with that banker's manager. Tell them they are "GAMING."

If you get a "Fells Wargo" credit card in the mail you DID NOT apply for, CALL THE NUMBER on the back of the card. Don't go into the branch. You may end up talking to the same jerk that applied you for it without your permission or one of their buddies.

When you get card services, please be nice. They will help you. Tell them I need to close this account because you did not apply for it. Tell them you want to file a "Credit Bureau Dispute." They should offer to do it anyway but just in case you get some jackass who is trying to cut down his handle time, tell them you want to do this. It will remove the fraud card of your credit report and the bank will send you an updated credit report within 30 days.

When the card is flagged as "DID NOT APPLY," the system starts what is called a CROW form. This tracks the application back to the source and the application is review. Hopefully, and I mean hopefully, the jackass banker who is gaming gets shown the door.

Once again, be nice to the person on the phone. They didn't do this to you. They probably want to help or at least not piss you off any further. Just answer their questions and don't insult their mothers.

The whole phone call should be down in under five minutes if you get someone with a brain.

At least that's what I would advice, if I worked for "Fells Wargo." But I certainly do not.
