Bf recently added me to a server on discord w/ most of his other friends, and his brother, so I could voice chat w/ some people while we all played a co-op game.

Later on, I was searching for a previous message in the chat and found a conversation about me where someone mentioned my appearance was "pretty meh" and his brother replied with "She's ugly. Ew."

I'm not very confident in my appearance by default, but no one's ever straight up called me ugly before, and after having been with a significant other supportive of my looks, I had a higher opinion of myself at the time. It feels like his brother's comment has really crushed what little self esteem I'd built up, and every time I think about it I die a little more on the inside, and wonder how many other people have said similar things behind my back..
