Lost house after roommates booked it to get married. Rented site unseen. Paid the lady. Got in the house. House was bad. Realized squatters were probably in the house. Not unreasonable, since she did say to me, "Just to let you know there's a crawlspace where some people can get in the house so be careful."

I was so scared of being murdered and the house smelled so bad, that I said, "Let's just go. We can't stay here." Drove hours back having no idea where to go. Stayed with my mom for a bit until it was time to get a hotel.

Luckily, there was a brick or something that if you kicked it, the whole three story duplex could come down and the windows didn't shut on the top floor. Fatal. Getting the deposit back after taking photos of the should've-been-condemned house was not hard.
