Well, I’m not sure if it holds any merit, but I had just gone through a breakup and one of my coworkers/friends was sitting outside after work having a drink and I said some stupid self-depreciating thing like “I’m just not cut out to have a girlfriend I always seems to mess it all up.” And what she said made me think about it incredibly different.

“You’re too intelligent for any woman to argue with you, you’re too handsome so they’ll assume you’re cheating on them, and you’re too kind so they’ll think you’re a liar. Every time everyone is shocked when a girl breaks up with you.”

I tribute most of that to the beers, but she sure helped me feel like I was more valuable than I see myself. Thank you again.
