My dad was married twice before he married my mother.

With his first wife, they had an anullment. There was fertility issues between them and they couldn't get pregnant.

His second wife, let's call her Rose, was beaten to death with a baseball bat by her sister, Daisy. Rose was pregnant at the time and almost full-term. The baby didn't survive.

Because of the fertility issues between my father and his first wife, Daisy believed that my dad was the one with issues and couldn't possibly have gotten Rose pregnant. Daisy suspected Rose was sleeping with Daisy's husband and got pregnant. She sneaked into the house when my dad was at work and did the deed. My dad was the one who found body. Daisy escaped the country soon after. I'm not sure if she was ever arrested or even found.

I found out this story about two or three years ago from my mom. My sister has no idea that my dad was married before my mom, let alone all this. I was able to find some digital versions of news articles a few years ago, but the links I had bookmarked expired. We haven't really talked about it since.
