A day before picture day in 3rd grade, I was riding bikes with my best friend in our cul-de-sac. His family had recently put a new layer of asphalt on their driveway and blocked it off the end of the driveway with some rope, but on that day, it was dry and ready to go.

Since they still had the rope up, I thought it would be awesome if I biked as fast as I could toward it and ducked my head while my bike flew underneath it. I totally forgot to duck, and my neck slammed into the rope and knocked the wind out of me.

I had a terrible rope burn on my neck...it looked like somebody tried to strangle me. With the next day being picture day, I felt and looked rough AF for a 3rd grader
