What's the most unusual reason a police officer has ever come up to you, or pulled you over?

after a 12 hour shift at work, i made it home with no serious problems. i check the forecast, apparently its gonna snow tomorrow, so i go back outside to turn my car around in the driveway. as i sit down, i see a light flashing behind me. its a cop!

his off-duty buddy followed me home and called him, said i was swerving and probably drunk, so he came to check on me in my driveway.

well, theyre right, i was swerving. i was sleepy, it was a 12 hour shift at work. i almost fell asleep driving. i get it, i was in the wrong here. but tell me, have you never almost fallen asleep driving? i only see sunlight 2 days a week, thats gonna screw with some people. and look, i should call somebody, get a ride home, im not safe to drive. but who the hell is gonna care that "im sleepy"? nobody. thats a crap excuse.

i mean nothing bad against this officer, he was doing his job, and he did it damn well. great guy, somebody give him a raise. but it was a dumb encounter, because i still made it home safe. not that thats a good excuse either... it was just a bad time for both of us.
