When I was 10 or so I was over at my friend's house on a snow day. We went to the field across the street from her house and spent HOURS perfecting a snow jump for our plastic toboggans. It may have been "child hours" but we worked hard damnit! Finally our jump was ready and we dragged our sleds up to the top of the hill to line up for the inaugural run. A boy, maybe two or three years older, who had been sledding nearby on a wooden toboggan came over and before we could realize what was happening barreled straight through our little jump. It was not designed for such weight and collapsed. I saw red. I had worked hard and I didn't even get to enjoy damnit!!! I chased him across the field and finally caught him, jumped on his back, knocked him to the ground. I proceeded to sit down on him and PUMMEL his face. Lucky for him I didn't take my mittens off so the blows from my tiny fists of fury were somewhat dampened. I don't remember why I stopped but he was bleeding a lot. He retreated to his house and me and my friend tried to figure out what to do.

Aftermath: I spent the next few days awaiting the wrath of parents to come down on me. It never did. I learned from my friend that he had told his parents what happened and they essentially said he deserved it, but they called my friend's parents anyway. The adults had a laugh and the boy's broken nose (yes, it turns out I broke it) eventually healed.
