In the dawn of the space beyond time, when it came to be and had already been and wasn't all at the same time, there were two brother gods. But they were alone, so utterly alone in the tangling vines of what wasn't. After eons that had not passed they grew bored. The first brother said to the second: "This is my body, my form, my power. Take from it and we shall never be alone again." And the second brother did, and with the might he carved from his sibling god he made another like all that he knew: She who would be known as Life. And Life said to the first brother: "You are selfish, for you surrender your flesh and not your mind." The first brother did not understand, so he said to his sibling god: "The Life you have made insults me. If you have learnt from her, carve more from my flesh and with it make a wise child of the stars that can answer the questions screaming from the spaces between our space." So the second brother carved from the first, and with the power surrendered to him made he who would be known as Truth. The first brother said to Truth: "I do not surrender my mind to my flesh to make as Life wishes I make, am I selfish?" And Truth said: "You are, as are all things."
