What's the nicest thing a complete stranger has ever done for you?

I was 16, living with my awful dad, dependent because I was poor as fuck, with no other support. I had just spent the day out with an old friend who was visiting briefly from New Zealand, who was like a mentor to me when I was younger. After he left, I waited for the bus, feeling like crap about leaving, listening to my iPod, completely zoned out. A Spanish girl a bit older than me sits next to me and starts a conversation with me, despite me having headphones on. We didn't talk about much and she got her bus about 20 minutes later, but I was just in awe at the selflessness of actively creating a rapport with a strange scruffy 16 year old boy who seemed comfy in his personal bubble. I don't know if she knew I needed someone to talk to, but it had a massive impact on me, and inspired me to start writing music, in an attempt to externalize the feeling. I have been making music since, and always make an effort to be as friendly as possible to strangers, because you really never know how much it could mean to them.
