What's the number 1 thing you hate people doing on Facebook?

Sharing sob stories that aren't theirs. Yes I know there are children starving in Africa but I also know the people posting this kind of stuff. I'd say maybe 1 in 10 actually care enough to justify posting it on social media. Yeah I know people can "post what they want" but it's just so obvious that it's a shitty attention ploy. It's not like you even really care about these people suffering, you just want people to give you attention and the post not only makes you feel nice and warm inside without having to actually do anything it also helps all your friends out, too, who can comment their sympathies and click the like button to show that they, too, are good human beings. The sob story just provides a nice kind of shield, where if anyone says something like "It sucks that you're using these people's suffering as a medium to attract attention". They can be all like "WOW I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT THE REAL ISSUES IN OUR SOCIETY I CAN'T BELIEVE HOW SELFISH YOU ARE." Seriously if you really want to show your concern, donate to charity or something, yeah it's less public and might not get you as much attention but it's helping a whole lot more than a facebook post where you and all your stupid friends just comment about how sad you are for these people.

Seriously if you ever showed any compassion or even interest for issues like this in real life, and if I know this is something you honestly care about then sure, it's likely that maybe this post actually is an honest attempt to raise awareness. But when it's someone who probably couldn't name a single country in Africa, and who throws away an obscene amount of food for no good reason, then I'd say they probably don't honestly care a whole lot and are just doing it to vaildate themselves.
