What's one story from your life when you were a total badass?

I most likely saved a man's life on Christmas a few years back.

So, I was driving through my old neighborhood on Christmas- taking my time because I was looking at all the decorations- when I notice a family friend who's way into competitive bike racing and decided to pace him with my car to see how fast he was going. You know, idle curiosity. He'd just hit about 25mph when a rather large dog (Mutt. No idea.) runs- full tilt- out from a gate that had been left open and gets tangled up in the bike. I don't know if it was trying to attack him or what, but he hit that dog so hard that he catapulted off his bike and slammed down onto the asphalt. His helmet had actually broken off his head somehow in that hit.

So he's stunned, blinking up at the world, and the dog's owner comes sprinting out, gets the dog inside, then comes back.

Now my family friend is stunned, manages to stand up, and is having trouble walking. I get him to lie back down because this is bad looking, and he's starting to get dazed. The man who owned the dog is trying to tell me to leave, that it's okay, and that my family friend just needs to go home and he'll be okay.

And then said family friend is suddenly unable to remember that it's christmas, so I call 911, get him to lie back, and also call my mother (who's a block away and has a hospital-worthy first-aid-kit.) And all the while the guy who owns the dog is fucking telling my friend to get up and go, me to leave, and that it's all fine.

Long story short I kept him from going home until my mom showed up and checked him over (She may not be a nurse or anything but she's spent most of her life working in a hospital and knows the stuff I don't.) and helped keep him from wandering off until they could get the ambulance there and load him up.

Turns out he'd fractured his skull and jacked up his spine a bit- ended up getting emergency surgery. His wife told us he'd've probably died if he'd tried to go home on his own.
