What's the point of asking God for something if God knows the future and has already decided what to do?

God's foreknowledge of a matter is determined by your choices and free will. That is the paradox and mystery of His foreknowledge. When you do instead choose Pepsi instead of Coke, He knew you would, but He only knew it because at some point in the future you make that choice of your own free will.

God has neither chosen Pepsi or Coke for you, only you have done that. And whatever choice, He knew it would be so. There isn't a predetermined choice in that case that you cannot escape, that is not how foreknowledge works. You still can determine your future, it's not set in stone, but whatever you choose, it will be known by God already.
