Whats the scariest theory known to man?

With every passing comment in this thread I read, I get more and more inspired to simply enjoy life without worrying about what might happen, why we exist, how the universe came to be and when it might collapse on us all.

Sure, we might just be an experiment in a computer simulation, or on the verge of being wiped out as a species by 'The Great Filter'. Maybe our whole universe exists inside the smallest of an atom in another universe, in another dimension? In that universe everything that has happened since the Bing Bang might be condensed into a nano-seconds worth of radioactive decay inside a single, tiny atom. How freaking insignificant and small doesn't that make you feel? The fact that any second our God-like overlords could decide to pull the plug on our simulation experiment, or that the bubble that is our universe might pop and the world as we know it would simply disappear in an instant?

All of this just makes me want to sit back and enjoy the ride to the fullest potential, not worry the slightest bit. All of these endless possibilities that I have absolutely no power of influencing what so ever. So why not make the best of it?

I'd like to spend time with the people I care about. Talk, and laugh, share experiences with. I want to eat delicious food. Hug someone tightly. Feel the adrenaline of doing something stupid and dangerous. I want to walk up to someone and compliment them, see their shine in their eyes and the smile on their face when they feel appreciated. Travel and experience the true beauty of this world.

I think I have a few people to catch up with once spring break is over. Have a good one, reddit.
