What's the shittiest thing an employer has ever done to you?

I worked for one of the largest mortgage companies in the world from 2003 until 2005 making an average of $30,000 a month doing loans. This was the height of the mortgage boom and I was rolling.

In 2005, I announced to my boss that I was set to be married and requested two weeks off at the end of October and first week of November. October rolled around and I was so excited and happy about the upcoming vacation that I rocked out over 5 million in loans in the three weeks prior to leaving, my biggest month to date, and was set to clear over $50,000 in commissions.

I completed everything, had them all sitting in underwriting prior to my departure, with no documents or signatures outstanding. They were due to be funded only a few days later... My boss shook my hand and sent me on my way with a smile on his face.

When I returned in November, I went to collect my paycheck and was told that all of my loans had failed to fund, that they were incomplete prior to my departure and that they were all unrecoverable.

It was an absolute lie. I went into the records and found that the loans had all funded and that a co-worker had signed them over, effectively stealing $50,000 from me.

I went to the senior management and disputed the deals with him and he said there was nothing that could be done about it as my name was nowhere near any of the documents and no evidence existed that showed I actually funded the loans. He said they couldn't pay me for it as they had already paid him and no mechanisms existed.

I demanded this thief be terminated.... the manager declined as he was a, "Great guy and hard worker" with "fantastic numbers".....

If this wasn't enough, the dude had the fuckin balls to then respond to me by saying, "but we need to have to talk about your numbers, it shows you have had no loans on the books for October, or anything yet for November."

I wanted to fuckin deck the dude so bad. I didn't say a word. Just stood up and walked out. Never returned. Fuck them so fucking hard.
