^ This. Whenever I get stressed/sad or angry, I always think about people who are having the worst day of their lives.
Somebody today at exactly this moment woke up next their spouse, and they weren't breathing. A person found their kid floating face down in the pool. Somebody had a tragic car accident and lost their whole family. A lot of people out there are having the worst days of their lives. What do I have to bitch about?
Get on with it. Someday, it will be YOUR day. That day isn't today though. Get on your knees and say a prayer of thanks. Be a good and honourable person. Help others as much as you can. And be so, so grateful that a loss like that just passed over you like a storm cloud on a windy day.
Say a prayer for all those who had their day today, a day that will forever be seared and branded into their memory, for all the wrong reasons. And be GRATEFUL. Once you lose someone you truly love, as you said darling - 'everything else will seem totally irrelevant'. You'd be amazed how quickly 'stuff' and the means of procuring it justends in your heart. I really had to re - evaluate how I lived my life. Life is about love, not about stuff.
