Words of affirmation. My boyfriend is pretty non-verbal. He shows his affection in other ways making our relationship pretty solid, but sometimes I’d like to hear something more than “You look... nice” or “(Whatever we are doing sexually) you’re doing fine”. I think I’d love it if he’d even just talk dirty to me just once.

What cracks me up is that he’s one of those dudes that needs verbal reassurance when we are intimate: “Was that nice/good for you?” Etc. I hear it All. The. Time.

Like I said, it’s just an odd compatibility. We are actually really solid and I really don’t have a complaint other than that. I told him recently that I’m get tired of twisting his arms for reassurance and affection. He didn’t realize I felt that way. Not entirely sure if things are going to change, but at least I put it out there.
