What's something "everybody likes", but you secretly hate?

SPOILER ALERT

Well to be fair, they killed Glenn in the exact same way that they did in the comic. I mean, the scene was practically word for word from the graphic novel (except for them killing someone else).

The problem with TWD, other than the obvious shitty writing/directing/acting is the diverse fan base.

Fans of the comic seem to like it when the show stays somewhat true to the original content (but they are generally okay with some tweaks here and there). These fans get super upset with the drawn out, cheesy dialogue scenes and lack of attention to detail that the graphic novels are good at.

As the show got extremely popular, the mainstream (i.e. non-comic readers) fans got really connected to characters who everyone else knew will die. These fans get upset at the brutal nature/premise of the show and get upset when we lose another main character.

My cousin (casual viewer) hated that they killed Glenn and that Rick chose to keep Negan alive, but as a comic reader, I understand the importance of these events. I've always thought Daryl is a waste of space, but she's in love with him. The one thing we can agree on: killing Carl was a dumb decision.

The show is trying to balance that fine line between die-hard comic fans and the casual viewer. And they are doing a terrible job at that. It doesn't help that the writing, acting, and directing has had some pretty bad moments, so it feels like a chore to watch.
