Whats something we do everyday but its never shown on tv shows and/or movies??

I especially love to shower every morning, while the water heater is still pumping out hot water. This doesnt happen every day for me, my dad is getting older and has always insisted on being the first one to shower in the morning, for he is the man of the house. But after taking his cup of pills at 7 am, he sometimes will fall asleep in there, wasting all the hot water. One time he was in there for far too long, and I thought something bad had happened. Unfortunately for me, he was only just relaxing, and I had disrupted his peace. He proceeded to get out, dry off, and immediately took me out back to beat the ever living shit out of me with his alligator belt.
