What's something that everyone loves that you absolutely hate?

Dog people.

Not like... the cryptid. The Michigan Dogman is a-okay as far as I'm concerned. But, I hate people with dogs so much. I don't get why dogs and people associated with dogs have such a good rep.

"I don't like using a leash while walking Buster because it makes me sad!" I don't care. Your dog's gonna die because he's gonna run into the road, and you have no control over him because you stopped going to obedience class after "sit." Your dog's going to go get into a fight with another, leashed dog and then you'll have to pay for that dog's medical care. Because. You. Have. No. Voice. Control.

I used to walk or bike exclusively, and there was a dog park by the trail I used. At least every week, I had a dog chase me or rush me. "Oh, he's friendly!" Yeah, that doesn't mean shit to me, lady. You can say he's friendly all you want. But words don't mean that much!

Also at the dog park, I'd see so many dogs that are obviously ok with being at the dog park. Very aggressive and defensive dogs are just let loose there. Why??? I think these folks got dogs because that's what you do when you get a house and didn't realize they weren't an accessory. They're an animal that requires care, and that care requires you to get off your ass and walk with the poor dog. Not just let it loose at a park.
