Whats something most people believe to be illegal, but in actual fact is perfectly legal?

In Germany, you are not allowed to use pictures of people without their allowence. You can look up any german youtube channel, and you will see, that peoples faces are blurred out. Otherwise you can get in trouble. BUT, pictures taken in public places are totally ok, as long as you dont show them to anybody (private use).

P.S. Even dash cams were discussed heavily recently, because they are apparently violating the privacy laws. Many courts did not accept evidence from dash cams because of those silly laws. It is accepted only since a few years and only because some lawyer found a workaround (you can use dashcam evidence, if it was reording coincidentally and not for the purpose of a crime case...) Sounds rediculous, and I think it actually is.
