What's something that most people pursue that you just don't really care about?

I am one of those people and can tell you, that family life and personal relationships, just don't work out for everyone. That's why I'm a workaholic. My family is toxic, and I've never been more miserable, then when I've been in a committed relationship. It just doesn't work for me.

I love my job and my work family, and it gives me a sense of accomplishment and purpose. I suck at relationships because: 1. I don't know how to pick them and B. I get bored quickly, so it's tough for me to find one person to settle down with. And before anyone tells me that it will be different when I'm older, I'm 46.

I'm happy that family life makes you happy and fulfills you, and I wish you the best. But, please, understand, that it doesn't work for everyone. Some of us are just wired a little differently. Like my grandma used to say, "Wouldn't it be a sad, boring old world if all of us were exactly the same?"

Happy holidays to you!
