What's something that people believe on /r/NBA that you find silly?

lol this might be the single worst thing I have ever read on this sub. I don't even know where to start with this.

Duncan had 28th pick and 57th pick and Pop who's never coached before to lead the Spurs dynasty for 16-18 years.

This is how you refer to 3 HOF guys? You're not clever and you're not fooling anyone.

Kobe had Jackson (3 time NBA championship coach), Shaq (dominant center at the time), Odom(4th pick), Gasol (3rd pick).

So basically what you're saying is that like every other star, Duncan included, a good supporting cast=wins. Also, nice job listing Odom as the 3rd pick as if that makes him better than Manu and Parker.

uncan is the oldest 39 year old in the league, and still plays effectively like he's still in his late 20s.

Kobe made All-NBA 1st team at age 34 before he got injured.

Kobe is 36 and has played 41 games over in TWO seasons, Lakers lose Kobe it's no big deal because they were never going to make playoffs with him anyway.

Bad supporting cast=less wins. Good cast=more wins. Not that hard to figure out.

Duncan got paid $20 million for the past TWO seasons, winning a championship in one of them. Kobe got paid almost $54 million for 41 games in TWO seasons with not even a 1st round appearance.

Conveniently ignore that Duncan was paid $20+ million at age 35.

Next season, Duncan will get paid $5 million because he's willing to salary sacrifice for the sake of having a better team. Kobe will get paid $25 million and no guarantee that he would finish the season.

Yeah because it's super smart to throw away millions of dollars for players that your team isn't able to sign. Why the hell would anyone take a paycut if that money isn't actually going to be used constructively.

Duncan has leadership qualities and people WANT to play with him. Kobe is no leader and NO ONE wants to play with him.

It's almost like SA winning 55 games and having a great supporting cast and the Lakers winning 21 games and having no one is an influencing factor for a free agent. I'm sure people would be running to sign with a 21 win Spurs to play with Duncan than a 55 win Lakers if they swapped records.

Duncan feels that sticking with the same people makes his TEAM successful. Kobe feels that sticking with the same team-sucking salary make HIM successful.

wtf does this even mean?
