My parents didn't vaccinate me. They are very hippy-dippy people who still believe crystals can heal diseases, and a full moon affects people's behavior. Growing up I got used to horrified looks from parents and kids alike upon hearing that I was unvaccinated. It took me well into my teens to do the research and understand why that was. I'm now 25, and my mom has no idea that I did actually end up getting any vaccines I still could as soon as I was an adult. When I visit, her friends will say shit like "Wow, that's amazing, your mother saved you from the poison! You have no idea how lucky you are to be pure as mother nature intended." There is no talking to these people. They are a whimsical parasite and they don't hear logic. My parents believe that they saved my life, when really they could have ended mine or anyone else's.
