What's something you thought you'll eventually outgrow but actually haven't?

I'm just 18, so not an adult really, but I find it fascinating how much my taste in music changed over the years.

For a long time I had really no interest in music. I wasn't listening to anything particular. Then at the age of 11 or 12 (back in 2007), I watched the first Bayformers movie (loved it at the time, now they're bloody awful) and heard Linkin Park's "What I've Done". Instantly fell in love with it.

Then my friend Showed me a few more songs from Linkin park, like Faint and Forgotten. Mostly the "heavier" stuff from them.

With time I got into Breaking Benjamin, Disturbed, Avenged Sevenfold, Rammstein.

Then I started listening to a bit heavier music, like Amon Amarth, Five Finger Death Punch, Vader.

Then went a bit lighter, with Alestorm, In Extremo, OOMPH (or this.)

Right now I'm mostly listening to Folk Metal, like Eluveitie and Korpiklaani, but sometimes listening to Manowar, Powerglove and Kamelot. Still listening to Rammstein and Disturbed (interchangeable with Device).

After 7 years I can't stand to listen to Linkin Park any more.

I guess I'll end up like my uncle, a man-child listening to metal and playing with his cars and computers. I have nothing against it though.
