What's the stocking levels in Brighton's supermarkets?

If that were to happen then you'd be in pretty much the same boat whether you were self-isolating now or not.

Society will not collapse because of this virus alone. The worst case scenario is tens to hundreds of thousands of otherwise healthy people dying alone in atrocious conditions in a giant traumatic event, but this will be largely confined to hellish conditions in hospitals. Food producers and retailers will still have 20-80% of staff because 95-99% of people will only experience mild symptoms and be off work for up to 14 days at a time. Some/most food deliveries will keep going.

The only way society will collapse is if everyone starts panicking and only thinking about themselves and cleaning out the shelves at every opportunity. Look at the riots of 2011. If enough people start panicking and take it upon themselves to steal what they want en mass the police cannot stop them.
