What's a strange/unique thing about your body?

I have CMT (Charcot Marie Tooth) disease, although my case is relatively mild.

CMT is:

The neuropathy of CMT affects both motor and sensory nerves. (Motor nerves cause muscles to contract and control voluntary muscle activity such as speaking, walking, breathing, and swallowing.) A typical feature includes weakness of the foot and lower leg muscles, which may result in foot drop and a high-stepped gait with frequent tripping or falls. Foot deformities, such as high arches and hammertoes (a condition in which the middle joint of a toe bends upwards) are also characteristic due to weakness of the small muscles in the feet. In addition, the lower legs may take on an "inverted champagne bottle" appearance due to the loss of muscle bulk. Later in the disease, weakness and muscle atrophy may occur in the hands, resulting in difficulty with carrying out fine motor skills (the coordination of small movements usually in the fingers, hands, wrists, feet, and tongue).

Here are the hands of someone with CMT and here are the feet.

I'll upload a picture of my own hands and feet later, but basically I have severe hammertoes and claw toes. Also, on my right foot I can't move the fourth and fifth toes. Like, I can think about moving them but there is no command in my brain that allows them to move. I have muscle wastage in my arms and legs but because I'm slight and it's not very severe it just looks like I have skinny arms and legs. My watch had to have a link taken out of it and it's still pretty loose, but that just looks stylish, haha.

I inherited it from my mother, who experienced severe enough pain that she had the middle joint of several of her toes surgically removed-- not the recommended treatment anymore!

Anyway, it doesn't impede my functioning too much. I can't wear shoes with a heel because it fucks my feet up beyond all recognition and I have to wear custom orthotics in my shoes but otherwise it's a-okay.
