What's the strangest punishment your parents ever gave you?

I'll have to preface this story with another one. When I was 18 I was driving my 25 year old hand-me-down truck home one night in a pretty bad storm, my 18 year old self underestimated the storm and overestimated my driving skill and truck's capabilities, I slid off the road and side swiped a tree. No big damage and no injury, just a large dent in the side of the bed behind the rear passenger wheel and I finished the journey home. Dad was pissed, I was grounded for a month and lost driving privileges for a while, pretty standard stuff.

About 8 months later my dad and I are outside doing yard work and I mention that I am saving up to buy a motorcycle from a co-worker for $4k. My dad being a bike rider, I thought would be kind of supportive of the idea. Instead he walks me over to the truck and points to the dent the tree caused and asked if it hurt when I hit the tree. Not really picking up where he was going I said "No sir". No sooner did I answer he punched me square in the chest and sat me right down on my ass. "Now imagine I'm a tree with out a truck around you"

Not really a punishment for doing anything, but for thinking about it.

Inb4 ChiLd AbUse! That's the only time he has ever closed first hit me, and coming from a father who's been in 2 motorcycle incidents, 1 laying him up in the hospital for 3 months and physical therapy for almost a year. I totally see where he was coming from.
